Can't recommend a guide but key things to work out / get familiar with are:
1. Keyboard shortcuts
2. Trackpad gestures
3. Workspaces / desktops - having a good setup of multiple desktops makes productivity much easier
4. Optional but a mouse with at least configurable buttons for desktop switching & expose (show all open windows)

..people do this? I just use hot corners, since the late 90's I think 😅

MX master has plenty of buttons which make it super quick / easy.
