some people might be weird about 'having curry at a wedding'
We just booked out an Indian restaurant for our wedding meal - and the food was absolutely miles better than any wedding-specific caterers, at hugely reduced prices. My wife is indian though so if people were racist about that they probably wouldn't have turned up

actually mimicing what @owl said; but I wish we had gone with a local lebanese/turkish/indian caterer. it would have been way tastier and cheaper than the specific wedding caterers we went with (who did put on mezzes for us). definitely something to look into
some people might be weird about 'having curry at a wedding' but i dont think it has to be exactly like that... without being racist (?) and placing all these cultures together but it is much more common for lebanese/indian weddings to have many hundreds (into the 1000s) of guests and therefore their catering offerings are significantly lower per head
