Fight club soundtrack in 99 pushed them back into fashion, I was 16 in 2000 and pixies were still on constant rotation at all the rock nights I went out at. MTV2 and 6 music also came out in the early 2000's. I don't think there was a day for the next decade where they didn't play debasser, here comes your man or where is my mind.

Interesting how different groups get different exposure. I was a bit older by that point, but also young enough to miss them first time around and only became aware of them when everyone seemed to be playing them in '06.
But then in '00 I pretty much only listened to hip hop, dnb and oldskool.

I was about to give the Pixies as an eg. due to the way suddenly everyone started listening to them in the mid-00s, but then read on wiki that
Which Tbf probably explains the phenomenon.
Still I feel that occasionally certain music pops back up.
