Have you got multiple profiles? That was the root cause. Believe it's all good now though.
@hippy if you had multiple profiles set up and did the Android 14 update it meant the main profile lost access to storage. Some phones also got stuck in some sort of reboot loop. I had the first issue for about a week before Google did a custom release to sort it.

It has been fixed in the November OTA update, but this doesn't fix bootlooping phones, because they are repeatedly rebooting. LOL.
There's a 'specialized solution via Pixel Repair Tool to recover partial data' which sounds ominous.
The problem was that when Android 14 installs itself it also upgrades the firmware, so once a phone is on 14, there's no going back.
It's particularly ironic that this bug badly affected the Pixel 6, which has already been plagued with issues. I'm on my third phone - the second replacement phone I've had Google. The first one had the network/GSM/bluetooth issue and the second had the crashing camera issue. Both hardware problems. This one seems to be all good but the Pixel 6 is cursed.
On the plus side Google extended my warranty and instead of having a phone which is just over two years old I have a phone that's effectively two weeks old with corresponding battery health.

Is Android 14 update safe on a Pixel6a yet?
Upthread there are comments on A14 leaving some Pixels less than fully functional.
