Recently replaced the 20+ year old drivetrain on my commuter/tourer with a spa cycles triple, 11-34 cassette and new derailleur. V pleased with it.
Final thing to sort out is the brakes. I've never been able to get good performance out of them and commuting in the rain recently has made an upgrade feel a bit more urgent... Is there any sense in swapping these for a new set of Tektro CR710s (the only affordable but decently reviewed cantis I can find online)? Or are there another forum-approved canti brakes I should be looking out for? Or should I just try and service these and accept that my spannering is the issue and not the brakes?
