• I thought you tried it but decided against it? I've been looking at one for about a year but reluctant, though the new keyboard is pushing me closer. (Aware it defeats a lot of the USP). My main ask would be a bit more integration into 'stuff'. I'd like to know how well it plays with Google docs /sheets etc. Notion might be fun as well but perhaps moving beyond intended purpose.

  • So I know I like it for writing but I’m looking for how well people get on with using it or if eventually ends up on a shelf. I’ve come to the conclusion writing on the iPad is just not great. It’s great and I do use it a lot but I still take notes on paper. So it hasn’t replaced that use case.

The new keyboard folio is making me think I want a Remarkable 2. Did look at the Kindle scribe but I didn’t like some of the reviews

  • Had a bit of a read around these while procrastinating. What was it about the Scribe reviews that put you off?

The idea of a subscription for the Remarkable sounds a bit shit, but then it appears that's only if you want to edit later. And actually most of the time I'd only need to edit at the time, or immediately after.

Idk if it means anything, but I thought it was interesting looking on ebay and seeing the huge difference in used devices (basically no Scribes), but wonder if that's because a Scribe can (maybe) replace your kindle even if you don't use it for notes.
