I just looked through the new features the update offers, debating whether I want / need it (though obviously I will install it, sooner or later, so stuff continues to work).
So much of the features of the recent iOS's I just really do not care about, and the majority feel like they're basically spyware, best example would probably be the scanning of my whole photo library and identifying faces.. I definitely remember being able to turn this off (and doing so, I think in iOS 15 or 16) but at some point realised it must have switched itself on again (probably with iOS 16 / later in iOS 16.x).
Hate shit like that.
Now they're transcribing audio messages by default it seems. Who the fuck wants / needs that?
Scanning all the things now thanks to the expanded "communication safety" feature? No thanks!
tl;dr - is there a comprehensive list of things to turn off in iOS 17 so one can have as much privacy as possible?
Regarding iOS 17 - and privacy..
