• Echoing Almac and having smashed my wrist skating, I'd definitely recommend good protection. I was using full guards, stupidly the cheapest I could find. Won't make that mistake again.
Have fun though. If you're in London, loads of good skating classes to get you going.

  • Hope you are on the mend.

I’ve bought a pair of these, with the intention of covering more mileage around town across all surfaces

  • Would these be better commuters than quads? Thinking of ability to handle changing surfaces and twig/pebble encounters etc.

    (N+1 justification incoming)

  • Thanks! Wish I was purchasing these, than attempting to get my dominant hand working again. Man this is gonna be a long recovery.
I previously skated across town on a Sunday with the inline crew from Hyde park. Their sound system was all radio linked and all very friendly. I struggled on my quads and had every intention of getting some inlines. Definitely still hope to one day. Being able to do literally anything with right hand is current priority.

Nice to read about your progression rhb. So lovely the steadier you feel and the flow when you're in it is beautiful
