I think the P-Line plus mods is the way most people get the weight down.

Cheers - I keep idly browsing ebay and wondering if a superlight from three or four years ago at a lower price might be a cheaper way to get up and running with some choice upgrades factored in

I bought a superlight from a few years ago and did a few obvious upgrades on it. Saddle / seatpost / pedals. Think it cost me about 1.5k all in but it's still not as light as a stock p-line.
