You'd hope so but worth remembering that Google also has form for disabling accounts for unspecified policy violations when the user is convinced they've done nothing wrong, and to quote a Google Support thread:
Nothing more can be done to recover the account; there is no appeal mechanism available; the account name cannot be re-used. The account data will not be recoverable, unless Google have specifically offered this option.
Unfortunately, no further assistance is available.
So it's always worth making periodic local backups (I need to do this too).
I don't completely trust any cloud service and always make local backups for that reason.
