    For which read 'legalised'.

I've only met a couple of XLs, both of which were lovely, though one was 4 mths old and already bigger than my shepherd mongrel, and the lad was having a hard job keeping it under control as it was bouncing around being friendly. Really don't see why people feel there is any need to breed a dog that big and powerful*. Can't see how it's good for anyone, including the dog. Is it really just as simple as the strength of the cunt gene?

*don't see why anyone needs to breed a dog full stop when there's a planet full of excellent strays that need help, but that's another argument.

I remember years ago somebody on here suggesting that if a dog attacks you, grab it's front paws and spread them apart to break their ribs or sternum or something. Oh how I laughed.

So its jaws are right in your face? Sounds sensible.

  • I think that may've been Richard Ballantine in his book, Bicycle.
