Hypothesising a bit but you’d generally be riding in the drops on the track so frames might be made with less reach to compensate? When going to a road set up and (presumably) using hoods, they reach will be less so use bars with more reach to compensate back?
I do think Pre Cursas are quite short. At work I’ll generally give people a size up from what they think they should be on and they find it comfy.

Thinking about getting my Dolan precursa into a rideable state. I think it was suggested on here that longer reach bars are better/ more comfortable than short reach for a road fixed build, but not sure the reason why?
