Yes I think I’m going to push for replacement. A new seat is just under £300 and getting it repaired is going to be a pain in the arse and I’ll be without a bike whilst it’s done. The saddle was also in fairly immaculate condition so me stapling a cover on is never going to look as good.
The fire brigade insurers seem to be not overly fussed about paying out so hopefully they won’t care.

Anyone ever had a saddle repaired? Who did you use?
When I got knocked off last week the saddle got ripped (only a small rip) and the other parties insurers are asking for a repair quote. The saddle was in very good condition so I’ve no real desire to bodge it myself.
