The high quality vinyl reissue market has been suffering because major labels are now reluctant to license the really big titles to the specialist labels because they can press them themselves. The specialists are also competing for pressing 'time' with majors who suddenly want 1/2 million Taylor Swift albums pressed and at the same time the major producer of acetate disks burnt to the ground.
Consequence of all this and material price increases has been a big increase in prices and a dip in quality. I've been slowing down on buying new for months now.
