I think the standard cheviots are around 60L. 120L is understood to be the ideal volume for the 12" HPDs.
I didn't design or build them, I bought them off the who did, after talking to a couple of the experts on Tannoys. I've got the drawings and an immaculate set of OG cabs/crossovers/etc, so I can revert back.
It is more of a play really. I'm happy with the rest of the set up, so i want to see if i can improve them.
so far, so good. the bass response is tighter/deeper, but the biggest improvement (so far) is the ability for the speakers to hold it together at higher volumes. i'm still playing with the set up (i have plinths/townshend platforms and stuff to have a go with, but they are big and heavy fuckers)
