I appreciate the kind offer, thank you. I screwed the cleats in and got the tape measure out and my eyeball was way off. Current clearance is more like 2mm
I've probably got something laying about that I can make I suitable shim from. I've still emailed SRAM to see whether there's an official product...just in case.
How long have you had the shoes, and how's the shim holding up?
