  • Conspiracy/wacky theory: People are a lot more used to staying inside when weather isn't perfect, post covid. If there is a hint of rain, club rides (etc) cry off.

    Possible factor: Everyone's phone apps give a % chance of rain each day. Would you go for a ride on a day that says 90% chance of rain? 100%? Well, what if it was 90% chance of an hours rain at 9pm amounting to 0.5mm? People (understandably) read that as a 90% bad weather day, and stay inside.

  • A mate does this all the time, sees the slightest chance of rain and says "I'm not going out in that" without checking to see when rain is forecast for
