I guess he’s tired of trying reasoned discussion in a world where most people just shout at each other. Or his mask has slipped. Or a bit of both.
I think it's more he's giving up trying to give convoluted justifications for why misogyny is cool etc.

Fully agree with all of that. Post benzo withdrawal (a practising clinical therapist who 'didnt know benzos were addictive, ffs) he's gone full cunt

He used to be interesting to listen to, it’s good to have clever people challenge your views. There was often the odd grimace when he said something awful, but mainly I was all like ‘yes, I can definitely see why you think that, but I disagree, have you thought about…’
He’s more recently just gone full awful. Like he can’t be bothered with engaging with counter opinions any more and his guests seem to just be people he agrees with.
