i think it's impossible to find 42t with 144bcd, that would mean the bolt holes are almost in place of the teeth. For small chainrings you have to dial down to 130bcd cranks such as sugino pista
You can get 42T 144BCD rings fairly easily.
Campagnolo made a 41T, 144 BCD ring and yes,the bolt holes are almost in place of the teeth :-)
