Inflation alone:
1911 - £550 is now £51,173.17
1923 - £700 is now £33,435.46
1935 - £750 is now £42,132.29
1983 - £32,200 is now £100,020.67
If it's £1m now then that would "only" mean a 20x increase since 1911.
