It's supposed to be wide enough for a 73mm BB. However while typing my message I realized how dumb I am trying to build a 2000 MTB with a Road electronic groupset aha.
I thought of crimping the stay but i'm pretty sure i'll resell the frame at some point and not sure about crimping Titatium.
You're intuition seems right. I guess I would need a MTB specific crankset with a higher Q-factorPS: I love your nickname :D
Dumb thought but is the crank axle wide enough?
My experience is limited to square taper cartridge or loose bearing arrangements and usually the cure is a slightly wider bb
But I’m not sure this kind of approach is an approach for external cup type magic?
Failing all that, crimp the stay
Actually, don’t do that
