Thanks again all who provided opinion on how I might shave 5 mins off my last 1.40 half, in three weeks, in the name of sibling rivalry.
Have taken it all on board, and did a 4 mile tester last night, and am now of the mindset, fuck it, I’ll just try and run really fast on the day! Until match day (October 16th) it’s all about going out and pushing, if I feel I can push.
Am old enough and stupid enough now to know my limits / capabilities. And reckon there’s a lot to be said for going on gut. Will drink less, bike more and stretch (I hate stretching) and rest a couple of days before Bath, and it’s mine to lose. Maybe. Anything can happen on the day. It’ll be a day for the neutrals that’s for sure.
