• Next day, still chuffed about cracking the manual - brief as it is, it's huge fun.

  • Did your manual machine help with this?

My riding had been really stuck in the conscious incompetence/ conscious competence transition of the Dunning Kruger scale. Sunday I went out for a ride and found myself getting into a much better low hinge position when cornering and even finding myself able to do multiple short pumps in berms. Yesterday I had a coaching session and further developed cornering and pumping. I finally managed to clear some consecutive turns with no braking and exiting faster from the turns. This further fed into better pumping on trail and even starting to get air off rollers. Felt like a bit of a penny drop weekend in terms of the tactile experience of riding rather than just understanding the idea and seeing it as a series of actions to do.
