I've no problem with the PFA (Jimmy Hill rip) but surely the way to do this would be to demand a minor percentage of all premier league players salary/club earnings into some sort of fund to support those less fortunate. It'd be a PR scoop for any club that implemented it too, given the widespread belief they are wildly overpaid. A bit of advice too or indeed a reality check amongst those self selecting to be famous footballers wouldn't be a bad move either
Yeah, you're probably right. Apparently PL players only pay £150 per season for membership and the rest of its funding (£25m+) comes from the league itself.
