I don't understand why a charity to support professional footballers - surely the single most overpaid group of workers on the planet - would need to sell a work of art to raise funds.
I’d imagine for the exact reason that people think it’s not a charity worth supporting so their funds are low. They bought the painting previously so why not sell it on to get money in.
