Yeah I did think that, but with a 2 or 3mm metal box to encase the battery in, maybe that's not such a problem.
That's a good solution actually! For some reason I'd pictured it sticking out a lot more than that.
Used to the bosch power packs? ;-)
It also looks so much cleaner! Minimal wiring for a front wheel drive too
