Just discovered this thread as well, great read and lovely vessel.
I would love a yacht but my wife hates them! I occasionally get to go out with my uncle on his (from Kingswear). My grandfather was a cabinet maker and built four yachts of increasing size when he was alive. The last one (Quatre) was recently seen moored up in Bristol.
