How on earth is one supposed to navigate the shoals?
Through reason, balance and listening to the people concerned?
I instinctively dislike censorship whether that be Nazi pugs or stories like this.
The challenges with these types of events in relation is that Islam has rules on the depiction of living things, and is a marginalised group. I also wish stories like this communicated to what extent this film is a clear and present concern amongst Muslims in general vs that of a say a devout vocal minority. Edit: based on the number of reported signatures ~3.5% of the Muslim population.

I’m going to tread carefully here, but as far as I can see there are a great number of religions (all of whom, of course are right). There are many political standpoints and who knows how many cultures (certainly many more than nation states).
There is probably nothing more controversial than a cheddar and onion sandwich that isn’t offensive to a group somewhere. Wait, a vegan could well be offended.

(I do, of course, appreciate that the movie in question was a bit of a shoo-in to tick off a vocal group…. But…..)
