Now that I have rewatched the video, they seem to have reinforced the area where Trace Velo's cages failed. -

I bought some and had no issues on a trip to the Alps - however haven’t used them for ages so can’t rule out that they might still fail in the future?

Just to ruin the vibe - I've got a pair of these and after about a year they just stopped gripping the bottles properly.
