• I think I've put about 6hrs in on my Stanton. Considering I ordered it in Mar 21, I reckon I'm going to need a bit more time before I start something like TD. Then again, it's just a long gravel ride, right? :D

  • I suppose it kind of is, would be interesting to try it on both of my bikes to be sure.

I recently moved to this weird little island or a group of islands for a while, Åland islands, and the area is kind of more in favor of the gravel bike than the mountain bike. So I don't know how much I'll ride that here, though there's some nice ridable hiking trails, but a lot more of quiet roads and good gravel. Only race I've planned to do is 230 km Syöte MTB in August, but I just decided that I'll take a week to ride to Slovenia in June for a work conference. Any tips for good gravel through Poland?

  • I've only ever really ridden road in Poland (unless you count Accidental Gravel™) so I'm not much use to you I'm afraid. Anywhere down south though in the Beskidz towards the Tatras is gonna throw up some good stuff though - the small roads there are quite good fun and it was lovely weather the other week when we were there (my first visit in 5 years) . The traffic seems to have got a lot busier though so I'd avoid the bigger roads as connectors as they tend to lack shoulders, although the drivers are generally better than UK.

Have a look through RWGPS or Komoot and it'll throw up stuff like this which might be a starting point: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37938775
