Once you get to the area after leyendell you can find all the bells to give the vendor to buy both types of smithing stones up to +9 and +24. I've respecced a few times just to try stuff out, if you do it make a note of exactly what the requirements for the weapons and spells you want to use are cos once you're in that menu you can't check

Desperate to do this. Couple of swords I'm loving but they need the upgrades!!
Also was thinking of respec as I'm thinking a strength build is too slow...

Just got past leyndell. Don't want to say loads but was a bit disappointed in the morgott fight. Idk if I was overlevelled but it felt a bit easy for something I'd built up a lot as something that would be cool.

(on elden ring) I've been thinking about doing a respec, I've got quite a few larval tears, but not enough smithing stones to get lots of different weapons up to a high level, got enough somber to get 1 unique to +8 and not sure on normal weapons, but decision paralysis been stopping me from using the somber ones. Been doing quality morningstar (i like the bleed+strike on it) so far but wondering if my playstyle is more suited to a more dex build, I found I prefer quicker weapons to the great/colossal swords and stuff. I'm currently in Leyndell on the way to Morgott having done the other 4 runebearers that the guy at the roundtable hold tells you about.
