The Eau de Carogna is great for priming the base tape if you're using Effeto Mariposa tape. It'll be bugger all use for cleaning the base tape though. For that you'll need some warm water, a detergent, a toothbrush and some elbow grease. Doesn't really matter what detergent - they all basically do the same thing. Washing-up liquid, washing powder, car shampoo, whatevs.
Soak the tub in soapy water, scrub away with the toothbrush, rinse well, leave to dry. Then refit.

so I rolled a tub in a cross race a couple of weeks back and the tyre got very muddy in the process. It's a pretty new FMB tyre so I'm keen to reglue it, but obvioulsy I need to clean the base tape. It was taped on so there's no glue residue but there is a lot of mud in it.
What would be the best thing to use? Is just a good wash with soapy water sufficient or do I need to use something else like https://www.effettomariposa.eu/products/eau-de-carogna-adhesion-primer
