  • The London Loving Hut has been there since long before it became a Loving Hut. It used to be called Peking Palace and had a very slightly not-completely-vegan menu. (I think it was only because of some dairy desserts.) I haven't been there since it became Loving Hut, but PP was lovely.

The grandaddy of these restaurants in London was a vegan restaurant in a basement in Knightsbridge (in Egerton Gardens Mews) that sadly became an omnivorous place, but for a few years they still kept the vegan menu and made you the food if you asked for it. I think the location is now no longer a restaurant at all. The cheapo buffet places that sprang up all over London for a while were no match for it.
