I agree. Putting a truss in a load bearing wall is part and parcel for builders.
And I agree to squaring up the bathroom.
And I agree with getting an architect in (bias alert; I am one); so much potential.
I now even think about hustling up some spaces due to orientation (living room to South instead of North) etc.
All depends on the existing details and mouldings of course.
And that window is glorious.

Opening up into the living room from the kitchen would be a game changer. That bathroom is already kinda stunning.
