I think axs is the only way to go for a dropper on an xc bike. I had a ks lev integra on my Scott scale briefly and between the dropper cable, remote lockout, brakes, and gear cable it was a birds nest of cables at the front end. I wanted a dropper post less than I wanted a tidy handlebar.
I’ve since ordere a carbon hope seatpost and in true lfgss fashion, will build an enduro bike around my dropper post.
