Have they got any flex in?
I’ve still not used them or had them on a bike that I could put weight on yet. But the supposed flex is kinda why I bought them.
They are 4130 and my thinking is there should be a nice forgiveness in them. I’ll be running the Sutra with big 29er Mtb tyres. I’m hoping that the steel frame and bars along with high volume tyres should give a really nice soft ride.
70mm rise and 23degrees back sweep for a super relaxed riding position.
Some nice long distance single speed cruises on the horizon! -
I was actually close to just buying some cheap scrambler bars on eBay but was put off by having to shim up from 22.2
I think the price of the stooge bars is a bit ridiculous really. They do seem to try justify the price on the website by mentioning the cost of new tooling etc
£84 for 4130 bars just isn’t right.
I snagged mine for £60 second hand but in unused condition

The very ones!
Wildly heavy but steal is real etc
I really wanted a Stooge frameset but always seemed to just miss one when it was my size.
Haven’t used the bars yet but I’m confident they’ll give the comfort I’m looking for on the Sutra.
One minor annoyance is the laser etched logo is partially covered by the stem face plate.
