• Trangia of any variety with decent bio ethanol- boil time is very reasonable, mess is minimal, impossible to break

    I really like the Trangia Mini if you can find one, but really only big enough for hot drinks on the road. The hard anodised finish on either the 25 or 27 (the bigger ones) is much nicer than the the thin non-stick option.

    Get one with the kettle if you’re feeling fancy.

    Where do you get that stuff from?

    I didn't realise the burners themselves were different sizes, thought it was only the pots. Maybe the 2-person burner then with a heat exchanger pot of the right size would be best. The one in the link has a pan too so you could, in theory, fry something on it.
