I prefer Jetboil or alcohol stove to MSR-type things. Everyone is different, which is why there are so many options!
Jetboil is the best for instant, guaranteed performance. Fast boil times, little wind protecton required and easy to set up/pack down. Alcohol stove is better when you want to pack small & light, take your time and keep the noise down. Best for relaxed wild camping on a bike IMO. I use a Trangia burner with a Clikstand and the windscreen (https://clikstand.com/) which helps with boil times in the wind. A 900ml pot on top fits the stand well and you get a fair bit inside it.
