Easiest way to do it would be to replace the shifter and brakes. You could probably keep the rear mech as Sram MTB and road stuff is generally compatible.
You can get a pair of MTB brakes/levers and shifter for a lot less than what Rival hydro is worth, so you'd very likely break even or make a profit if you wanted to sell. Though maybe worth keeping in case you want to switch back.
Worth noting you'd need flat -> post mount converters to get MTB brakes mounted, and they don't always fit on the rear depending on the rear triangle and the mount position.
