  • Yesterday was the maiden voyage and I couldn't have asked for a nicer day to do 130km. I must admit that the experience made me appreciate the modern comforts of my SL6 - after 100km the pain and numbness set in where it normally doesn't. Handling is also remarkably different and my overall impression was of being balanced on top of a skinny bike that was really rigid, rather than cruising on fat carbon tubes and 30mm tyres.

    That's not to take away from the experience - it was a fun ride throughout - but I will be making adjustments to position as much as possible. I'm thinking of testing with a 130mm stem and possibly a layback seatpost and perhaps a Romin saddle if I can find one.
