As promised, Thursday saw the birth of my MGOF interpretation. Fortunately I was assisted by a mechanic friend who helped overcome some of the hurdles that inevitably arose due to ordering parts "blind" without being there to check measurements and that components ordered were compatible. Some new threads were cut and old ones re-threaded, bearings were stripped and re-greased and every bolt checked - a satisfying process all round.
The one hiccup was that the correct spokes didn't arrive in time so my friend tried building with some he had already but they're a few mm too long. The correct ones should arrive next week but these pictures give an idea of the final result.
