Hm, strange--did the driver go over the bollard in the foreground (the one with the missing reflector)?
It looks as if they drove over the tip of the triangle before seemingly changing direction and crashing into the house after a swerve.

It's a right angle bend off a 70 mph dual carriageway:

I suspect braking and cornering performance of that vehicle may have been less than ideal.
