many people supported the party for many years when it was led by the bombs and flags faction. expect what we're seeing now is those same people becoming so disillusioned (and disgusted) with the party due to the bedwetting, press carping and divisiveness which the bombs and flags faction prosecuted when they temporarily lost control of the leadership. they understandably bristle now when the bombs and flags people make entreaties for the party to unify now they've regained control of their fiefdom
