I was looking for some higher end 135s a couple of years ago when turning a high end hybrid (Spesh Globe Expert) into a drop bar for audax/touring/gravel, it came standard with deore, first of all I bought a pair of LX as they were cheap enough but I'd looked for higher end (avoiding XTR) and it was stuff like Hope (RS4) some DT Swiss incl the 180s but are ven more spendy than the Tune Mag 170 units.
There were a few very nice Japanese made examples but these were few and far between even then, Ritchey also made some shiny hubs in 135 and there's a NOS pair on ebay now but they are silver.
In the end I found a 32 spoke Dura Ace 9 speed rear on an open pro and it slotted in perfect, indeed the globe pro variant which I also run as my everyday utility bike, it can take both 130/135. Maybe see if you can get some end caps to junction the gap of a road hub if you haven't already tried a 130mm in the dropouts already.
Thanks for the info! Yeah, a frame that was mid-way between 130 and 135 would be ideal. Unfortunately it is what it is :) I'm going to keep looking on here for now as find it pretty trustworthy and people really know their stuff. Thanks again.

Just found these DT Swiss ONYX in Poland but you might be able to get them to manipulate the sale value to avoid the tax scammers AKA HMRC (or whatever they call themselves)
