If there was an alliance, surely you'd have had to have let it be known beforehand to - you know- actually stop your supporters voting for you and transfer their vote instead.
It wouldn't be enough, for example, for me to fail to notice Labour campaigning in my local election to make me vote for a lib dem instead. I doubt I'd even notice tbh.
If they'd have done that before the vote, I'm sure we'd know
