It is, I guess I just want to play around with different set ups to see what suits the bike the best. I might just end up with current bars but shorter stem 🤷‍♂️

I understand.
Maybe get a set of lock-on grips while you experiment with handlebar setups? Definitely wait to put something like ESI grips on till you've settled on a handlebar, they are such a pain to remove/install.
