Spooning your whippet is next level, kudos. My 4 person tent has sleeping compartments at either end so it looks like I’ll go with dog, wife with child. We’re going at the end of this month to Buxton and I guess it’s the temperature I’m most worried about, hopefully nothing a few extra blankets won’t solve.

I live near Buxton. It really is bloody cold thanks to being in something of a dip. You’ll need those blankets.

He usually wiggles down right to the foot area of my sleeping bag so he's more of a foot warmer.
With a whippet the key is to keep them warm so blankets and jumpers are a winner. I'm sure its the same for any dog, not just whippets.

Yes, quite a few times. He sleeps in the sleeping bag with me though. Whippets are fairly good bed fellows in that they usually aren't minging.
Edit: Although I guess we have to count ourselves lucky he has never rolled in fox shit on a camping trip.
