It says the brakes will still be able to stop the bike.

What I'm confused by is what happens after September 2021. Are they going to try to charge you for a firmware upgrade if you come in with a dangerous bike?

Interesting one. Particularly as currently there are restrictions on moving around for all but the essential. Supposedly.

You are allowed to move around to obtain services from businesses that are open and bicycle shops are allowed to open so you should be fine to take your Brompton in for a flash.
