I want everything to line up

one of these days I will post pics of all the stuff in my house which definitely does not line up - just to upset you and other pedants* itt

My extension was designed so it has an ply edge running from the front right corner around 3 walls and to the back right corner, connecting door thresholds to the kitchen worktop.

I care about those kinda details too much but didn't have the money for that level of planning for the bathroom.
