There's a couple of things I want on there that are 2.4GHz and I've already got 3 different SSIDs. Changing the AP settings to force capable devices onto 5G worked.
@stonehedge I think that's blocked if you're not an administrator, have a vague feeling of looking at it before.

I found Windows seems to stick with 2.4GHz regardless once it connects to that. I ticked the:
High Performance Devices: Connect high performance clients to 5 GHz only to on and speed went way up.
Maybe a slightly unusual situation in that I can run a few APs so there aren't any distant spots where the 2.4GHz carries but the 5GHz doesn't.
My wi-fi speed of 200-250Mbps seems pretty reasonable now. No idea what was happening previously to cause my network speed to be way lower than my internet speed.
